AL/NL ROY 2016

Get your gloves out of the basement, under from your beds and go toss around because pitchers and catchers are just one days away! Baseball is coming and personally I could not be more excited. The Nets as you all know are terrible and the Rangers have been just coasting along going through the motions, so without football, the winter is boring. What better way to kick off pitchers and catchers than to give you my predictions for the best of the young guns of 2016. The rookie class this year has the potential of being one of the best in the past decade, one with future Hall Famers. The Junior circuit is crowded with talent this year and it makes it very difficult trying to pick the shiniest diamond if you will. Aaron Judge, and Luis Servino in the Bronx possibly, Blake Snell who has dominated the Minors over the past two years for Tampa Bay, and the dynamic duo Berrios and Buxton in the Twin Cities, even Joey Gallo in Texas is in the conversation. Gallo, Servino, and Buxton do have

Peyton rides off into the sunset

Well the golden game is done. All the confetti has fallen, the commercials have run out, and the champion has been crowned. Congratulations to the Denver Broncos on winning the 50 th Superbowl. Congratulations to Peyton Manning securing his legacy as one of the best to ever play the game. On the same week that his former coach Tony Dungy and former teammate with the Indianapolis Colts Marvin Harrison get the call that they will be hall of famers one of their old friends finishes his legacy in the best way possible. Peyton has given everything to the game and he finally got his return. Congratulations to all the Denver fans your team is on top once again. Now to the other sideline… Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. They will be back to the big game no doubt about that. As much as this hurts right now the Panthers will come back next July in Training Camp and use this a motivation tool, they could possibly be back in this same position next year battling on the final day for a ti

MUST READ! 2016 MLB Rankings Long but worth the read

So Spring Training is just twelve days away, and for baseball fanatics like myself couldn’t be happier. Like my grandmother always says “Spring Training is the first sign of spring” and she couldn’t be any more correct. The 2016 MLB Season will be a very exciting season for sure with many storylines along the way. So without further ado here is my rankings of teams 30-1! RANKINGS: 30-1 #30: Philadelphia Phillies: The Fighting Phil’s finished dead last in the league last year going 63-99, and not much is changing. Young prospect Aaron Nola should headline a decent starting pitching staff, but with players like Ryan Howard and Carlos Ruiz still on the roster from the glory days on the Phillies, it doesn’t help their case any with the stuffed cap and poor performance from both Howard and Ruiz. With that said the bright spots of this Phillies team Maikel Franco and Odubel Herrera should look to impress fans and their organization with good seasons this year. #29: Cincinnati Reds: Wi

The Broken Bird

The bird has a broken wing… Greg Bird is out for the season with a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder. This is a big loss for the Bronx Bombers because Bird gives them some need depth on the bench not to mention some pop from the left side when needed, while also providing Joe Girardi some needed flexibility in making lineups. Bird made his Major League debut on August 12 th in Cleveland going 0-5. Then after that rough night in Ohio Bird would record a .261 average with eleven big home runs and thirty one RBI’s in just forty six games. Bird highlights a good young crop of young players that are coming to the Bronx in the next 3 seasons. Bird when he first came up to the majors was brought up simply because he could hit at every level, and boy was that correct. Personally I really was looking forward to seeing what Bird would do in 2016, and how he would develop his game for his rookie season. The Yankees from a health stand point need to find a first baseman who can stay healthy
