It's now all about the Gold

The Gold Superbowl is set, an old tail of new against old. This is most likely Peyton’s last go around, and for young Cam this is only the beginning of his bright career. These two teams couldn’t be any different at the quarterback position. On the other side of the ball is very similar with two players that anchor the two defenses are two of the best linebackers in the game and potential defense player of the year candidates every season. Of course, I am talking about Luke Kuechly, and Von Miller. These two both made some spectacular plays this season and throughout the playoffs to get these teams to the Superbowl. With that said the defenses while tough are different in the way they play ball and force you into bad plays.
Denver is all about man coverage and a heavy pass rush. DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller are two of the best at rushing the passer, and they made the already crumbling New England offensive line look like a gang of middle schoolers. Aqib Talib and Chris Harris are two of the better man corners in the league. Talib has a ton of playoff experience since he started his career with the Pats. Miller, Ware, Thomas, and many others on the Denver sideline are hungry for their first ring and are still experiencing a Superbowl hangover from New York two seasons ago.
For the young Panthers they embody a reckless, fun, and sometimes un-sportsmen like domineer that has taken the NFL by storm and kept them on the front page all season whether it be there 14-1 regular season, Cam Newton’s touchdown dances, or Riverboat Ron River this team has dominated the league and not caring who approves, Carolina also has the anticipated MVP Cam Newton. Newton has done the unspeakable with this offense and taken them to an elite level with a bandwagon of nobodies and made them look like Pro-Bowl receivers. Jonathan Stewart has also hit his ceiling at just the right time, with the exist of Deangelo Williams.  However, there defense while one of the best if not the best differs from Denver. Rather than being a pressure defense, they attack the ball while it is in the air, and have playmakers that can force takeaways without applying pressure. Josh Norman, Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, Jared Allen, these guys have tremendous Football IQ and they team that up with incredible atheism and great pursuit. This team can pressure the QB but they do not have to.
With that said Carolina might want to pressure Peyton as he is not at all mobile and lets not forget the foot that kept him out six weeks. Norman and company will be tested against the best field general that they have seen to date. Denver on the other hand will have to contain a very high intensity, mobile offense with a red hot Cam Newton holding the reins. As I do every week with this Carolina team in the playoffs I am predicting a very close game with two great defenses stealing the show if they play up to their potential.
