Heart Break in Foxborough and Monday Game Ball

Geno and the Jets lost a heart pounding game last night. Chris Ivory had possibly the game of his career last night in a losing effort thanks to the blocking game winning field goal attempt. Ivory is my game ball for Monday. He had 107 yards rushing but to me it felt like 307. Ivory pounded the Pats on the ground channeling his inner Marshon Lynch. He got his touchdown diving over the pile with 9:02 to go in the 3rd. Ivory also had a very important 18 yards receiving. Kerly had probably the most important catch of the night on the last drive out running a pats defender to gain much needed yards for the attempted field goal which we all know was blocked. This is hands down the best game Geno Smith has played in his brief football career. He out played Brady in my eyes, he kept plays alive when he was trapped and ran out of it for first downs. Had a great drive at the end of the game in less with less then 1:10 to go in the game. Doing everything that was asked of him and doing it to a high level any other team with Geno's effort last night would have won the game last night. Rex Ryan's reaction to the blown 2-point conversion says it all after this game. We had within arms reach we just couldn't make the big play to win the game. That is the third game this year that we could have won that we just were that close to win the game. The Packers game with that time out call, the Monday Night Game against the Bears not being able to make a good throw in the endzone to tie the game. Then last night playing so well on both sides of the ball with a few bumps within the game like the blown coverage allowing the Pats to score just like that and putting the Jets in a hole right out of the gate.
Lets see what Week 8 has in store hopefully a better result.

Don't forget to follow on your way out!
