Percy is happy

Yesterday afternoon the Jets introduced their new Star wide out Percy Harvin to Gotham. Harvin said that the locker room embraced him and made him feel welcome. He also said that he was excited to be here and that he likes the coaching staff. Reports came out over the weekend of him saying that the Jets having all the right pieces in the eyes of Harvin. Well the most important thing is that the locker room situation is right and that there are no problems involving Percy. Rex Ryan the Jets head coach said that he is not worried about the situation in the locker room of the Jets. If Harvin is right and the Jets have all the right pieces then the Jets should be primed to make a strong push for the playoffs throughout the rest of the season. With the acquisition of Percy Harvin look for the Jets to give Percy his touches yes, but turn more focus on throwing the ball to the slot receiver which would be Jeremy Kerly. Kerly can go back to what I think he does the best beating linebackers and safeties with his speed. The Jets wanted to put Kerly in the number 2 wide receiver spot but with his small size and his fast speed he could beat some corners but not so well of the press. In the slot Kerly will feel right at home and the old 7-11 connection will show up next Sunday in my opinion. Also Percy will be involved with 15 touches and over 100 yards and a touchdown next week. Harvin makes this team so much better because not only is he a scoring threat on every passing play he makes the run that more deadly because if the opposition were to run blitz, Geno could  to a deep pass and have Harvin go up and get it.

The Question going into the Trade Deadline for the New York Yankees

  There is a crossroads in the Bronx in between River and 161 st Street right now. As New York Yankee Manager Aaron Boone likes to put it “[the season] is right in front of them.” The second half of the season is for the taking. As we move into the dog days of summer the Bronx Bombers are nine games out of the division and now a game and a half out of the AL Wild Card race following a disappointing first series in Colorado. With that, the historic starting Tampa Bay Rays have cooled off, going 3-7 before the break while showing signs of being mortal. The Answer for the Mets

  As Yogi Berra would say “it’s déjà vu all over again.” Buck Showalter is an all too familiar place. The 67-year-old manager has taken a time machine back to 2012. No, he is not managing in Baltimore anymore, however that’s what it feels like the end of Showalter’s Oriole tenure in Queens right now. The Mets simply can’t get out of their own way. With Pete Alonso likely headed to the Injured List, the Mets scored 10 runs last night in Atlanta. 10 runs on the heels of back-to-back gut-wrenching losses at the hands of the team that has foiled the Mets for the better part of almost three decades, the Atlanta Braves. 10 runs with their hired ace, Justin Verlander, who was looking to put together good starts consecutively for the first time all season. The Mets looked like they were about to exercise some demons in Atlanta last night, and then, the other shoe dropped. It wasn’t good enough. Again.
