The Bandwagon ran out of gas... The dynasty lives on

The Royals had life, and it quickly disappeared last night in the 9th. The air in the Big K just went out of the building as Salvador Perez popped out to end the game. Madison Bumgarner proved to criques that he can pitch in the biggest game, and that pitch counts are overrated. Bumgarner who had 117 pitches had 50+ last night in a 5 inning save to win the World Series. The Giants who have won 3 of the last 5 World Series always seem as an under the radar team when it gets down to the dog days of summer. On the Royals side they showed especially in the ninth, that they need to get a big bat in the middle of that lineup. The power shortage is something teams in the postseason in have shown in recent years. Like the Tigers, the last 3 years, the Yankees 2 years ago, the Cardinals in last years World Series, and this year the game after the Royals scored 10 runs, looking like they would run the Giants all the way back to San Francisco. Maybe they under estimated the Giants pitching, or maybe they thought they had the game, thinking that there was no chance that Bumgarner was coming in the game. That still doesn't excuse Perez chasing like 7 fastballs up out of the zone in the last at-bat in the 7th Game of the World Series.

For the Giants to win the World Series with your catcher arguably your best player in Buster Posey not even show up for the World Series, or most of the playoffs for that matter. Pablo "The Panda" Sandoval is a free agent this offseason, does he stay? If he goes, where? Honestly the Giants should sign Sandoval and Bumgarner to MVP deals because thats what they deserve. Tim Hudson who is 39 years young, who didn't even see the World Series in his career, didn't last long in Game 7. Bochy panic maybe taking Hudson out after only an inning and two thirds, but a wins a win, and a ring definitely looks good on your finger no matter how you got it. If the Giants bring back all the pieces and add a few in some areas do they repeat? Can Kanas City do the same thing they did this year or are they just a one year Cinderella Story?

Don't forget to follow on your way out!
