The MVP returns, Brooklyn wins the battle of N.Y.C, Curry holds off the masked man and the Magic, Cavs dominate

A great Tuesday for the NBA and basketball overall as the ACC v. Big Ten tournament kicked off last night. However the NBA stole the show. First the talk of the night was Kevin Durant the MVP returned for the Thunder who now have their core healthy and look to dominate. But the Pelicans who have a young stars themselves in Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans. They both played excellent, Evans had 30 points and 5 assists but Davis didn't out score Evans but he played better. Davis had 25 points 10 boards 6 steals and 4 block shots. The Pelicans just took over the game in the 2nd quarter. Durant had 27 points in 30 minutes and Russell Westbrook who struggled but still managed had 21 on 6-20 in 32 minutes. That isn't the only reason that the Thunder lost, because New Orleans just came to play last night and the Thunder were not ready. Westbrook can not keep taking 20 shots a game with Durant on the court. I did an article on this earlier and I had no idea that Durant was coming back so soon, but now that he is they need to Reggie Jackson at the point and Westbrook at the 2 guard position. Jackson is the more conventional point and will distribute the ball more to the MVP. The next thing caught my eye as I looked through the news this morning is the great game by the bay. Victor Oladipo who is the latest version of the masked man. The Magic who behind Tobias Harris and Oladipo shocked the Warriors with some great play. Oladipo led all scorers with 27 and was the master behind the 4th quarter run that gave the Warriors a scare. But Steph Curry and Clay Thomson helped Golden State come back with a ton of 3's and none bigger then the game winning by Curry with 2.2 seconds left. The Big 3 were more then Big. K-Love had 27 points 10 rebounds, Kyrie had 28 and led all scorers and he had a great second half. LeBron had 27 and 10 and did what he did in Miami at times and took a back seat and let the talents of the other super stars around him take over. The score was closer then the game actually was. Lastly the Battle for N.Y.C was very interesting. KG and Melo looked like they could see each other the game as they had a couple of scuffles throughout the game. The whole Nets team just seemed to play with the Knicks because the way of basketball is different. The Nets just played as a team while the Carmelo show rolled back into town.

Don't forget to follow on your way out!
