The Old Men end the Streak

So in my last article I touched on the Warriors and their 16 game winning streak. Well last night on ESPN the Memphis Grizzlies or "The Old Men" of the league ended it in prime time. Their average age is 28.7 but they don't play like that. I thought that Golden State would shoot them out of the gym. But they old men took them to school and beasted in the paint. Zebo and the better Gasol went off for 41 points combined along with a combined 17 boards between the two. Now I call the Grizz the old men because they have guys on the team Vince Carter, Tayshaun Prince, and Zach Randolph who are all over 32 years old. Memphis, don't get me wrong has a lot of talent, most of it is old, but it is there. Golden State is still the best team in the league and even the best lose sometimes. What a start for first year coach Steve Kerr who looks like a coaching guru with the start that the Warriors got off to.I can't wait until January 9th to see Cleveland play Golden State because they are the two best teams right now, and a lot can change don't get me wrong but that's not the point. The point is Memphis is good right now and will make the playoffs off the talent, but the legs of the "Old Men" will come in effect soon because 30 year old legs are not built for 82 games. It was a good win last night, and the thing that I thought would be the down fall of the Warriors showed last night. The Warriors are very similar to the Heat that went to 3 straight Finals, and that is that if a team has a big man that can hold his own, Golden State, just like the Heat are in trouble.
