Introducing

Fresh Start_1: Introduction               
After some thinking I've thought of a great way to bring back old times for me on this blog. When I started this a little over a year and half ago it was to share my opinion on the sports world, mainly focusing on New York sports, while giving my opinion on other sports issues and stories that I found interesting. I introduced games balls and weekly picks (which will be making there return come the 2016 NFL season). I also attempted a mini article series called “NY 500” where I tried to take an entire weekend of New York sports and sum it up/ give my opinion on what happened. I will be bringing that back on Monday September 5th, and will be continuing every Monday from then on out. While all this is going on, I will be introducing a new collection of articles called “Fresh Start”. This is where I will take 1,000 words and write whatever I want too down and just make it public every day for a year. Some days I will be popping out 3 articles a day; and this is just to challenge myself to become a better writer and story teller, ultimately better my writing as a whole and this blog to boot. I am so tremendously thankful for the people who have followed this blog and stuck through all the up and downs of not writing for a while and all the stuff that has gone down.
I've already announced this on my second YouTube channel Play by Play Plays, which is yet another podcast channel, but this channel is a political, comedy, movie review channel that just allows my partner and co-creator to just be us more. This is exciting for us adding a new podcast channel to counter punch Play by Play I will say this again, both my sports podcast channel and the other channel do have explicit content on both channels. If that is something you are uncomfortable with just stick to this blog. Also on our podcast channel, we do not have a set schedule due to busy schedules this time of year for the both us, with vacations and going back to college. We hope to have one sometime soon but we aren't promising anything.
Getting back to my original point, this blog is headed for a very interesting turn and it is very exciting!

   Now that the World Series is over five days from now the offseason begins. With that in mind, this is the biggest offseason that Brian Cashman will have in his 25-year tenure as Yankee General Manager. The Question going into the Trade Deadline for the New York Yankees

  There is a crossroads in the Bronx in between River and 161 st Street right now. As New York Yankee Manager Aaron Boone likes to put it “[the season] is right in front of them.” The second half of the season is for the taking. As we move into the dog days of summer the Bronx Bombers are nine games out of the division and now a game and a half out of the AL Wild Card race following a disappointing first series in Colorado. With that, the historic starting Tampa Bay Rays have cooled off, going 3-7 before the break while showing signs of being mortal. Baltimore, who has been keeping pace with Tampa, didn’t look like a Superpower when they split against the Yankees two series before the break. The AL East is still a Spartan Training Facility with every team above .500, the Orioles holding the first Wild Card spot, and the “struggling” Boston Red Sox tied the Yankees in the Wild Card race. The Answer for the Mets

  As Yogi Berra would say “it’s déjà vu all over again.” Buck Showalter is an all too familiar place. The 67-year-old manager has taken a time machine back to 2012. No, he is not managing in Baltimore anymore, however that’s what it feels like the end of Showalter’s Oriole tenure in Queens right now. The Mets simply can’t get out of their own way. With Pete Alonso likely headed to the Injured List, the Mets scored 10 runs last night in Atlanta. 10 runs on the heels of back-to-back gut-wrenching losses at the hands of the team that has foiled the Mets for the better part of almost three decades, the Atlanta Braves. 10 runs with their hired ace, Justin Verlander, who was looking to put together good starts consecutively for the first time all season. The Mets looked like they were about to exercise some demons in Atlanta last night, and then, the other shoe dropped. It wasn’t good enough. Again.
