2017 Week 11 Game Ball/Picks

The Madden camera needs to stay! The overhead “coaches camera” or “Madden camera” was put on display last night in Pittsburgh for the first quarter of the Steelers-Titans game. You know, just to another gimmick place on Thursday Night Football to try to get viewership.

One thing good about last night (besides the overhead camera) was that we didn’t get the snooze-fest between the Titans and Jaguars (or the mustard-smurf game), we actually got a decent football game for about a quarter and a half.

The Steelers must have been pissed off after the sports media road them off and put them aside following a win where they BARELY edged out the Indianapolis Colts last week. Against Tennessee last night, the old Pittsburgh Steelers blew the doors off the Titans. The Steelers showed why they are one of the Top Four teams in the league right now—and the Chiefs might do the same thing on Sunday when they face the artist formally known as the New York football Giants.

The Steelers just walked up and down the field and showed that they are on a different level than most of the league, and that is just shown by my game ball winner.

Antonio Brown is undoubtable the recipient of the game ball for last night. Brown showed yet again why he is considered the best receiver in the NFL. Brown had 10 catches for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Can you tell me how many times in a decade a receiver has 10 grabs, 100+, and three touchdowns in a game? It almost never happens and to happen like this in a game that someone needs to make a statement, the best playmaker on Pittsburgh made a big time statement.

This Pittsburgh team is just like the old teams that we have come to know. The Steelers will have a tough defense, a good running game, and a passing attack that will keep defensive coordinators up for weeks before you play the game. There is no need to panic in Pittsburgh (if there was any left), this is a Super Bowl contending team. In a year that has just made no sense; the Steelers are a shining light from the way football used to be.

Getting to this week’s picks, I think this is a week where Vegas just wants to try and make money. I’m going with my gut and after another positive week—I’m finally making sense of football in 2017. It’s crazy to believe that we are in Week 11, but we are, and Thanksgiving is next week. Enjoy the week before the good Turkey Day games.
