Day 196

Fresh Start_196: The Knicks could change the game
Change is something that most people don’t like. The most recent example of that is Golden State Warriors Center Draymond Green and his comments about the silent first half of basketball that the Warriors played against the Knicks yesterday. What the Knicks decided to do before Sunday’s game against Golden State was to play the first half without music or anything that would distract from the game itself. Basketball in its purest form. Green called it “pathetic” and “trash” that the Knicks would do this.

I myself, would have to disagree with that. While the first half was sloppy and un-NBA like, it was still basketball. It seemed like a high school game that was just what you remember a high school game being like, just you and the players on the court. It was different, but if the NBA did this more to let the fans see what the game is like in its purest form at the highest level, fans will appreciate the game more, while the players will learn to adjust. My feeling behind this is that the game will learn to like this form and possibly have scheduled games like this. The Knicks might have started a trend here and to Draymond Green, you are a man, if Lebron can learn to adjust to sleeve jerseys, you can deal without your music.
