Yankees trade for another arm

Breaking: The New York Yankees have traded utility player Jose Pierla to the Padres for right hander Ronald Herrera. Herrera last season posted a 3-1 record with a 4.53 ERA in eight games, along with 35 strike outs and only 14 walks. Pierla one of the bombers young up and comers. Pierla last season got off to an amazing start in Spring Training, but suffered a concussion running into the center field wall at George M. Steinbrenner field in Tampa. After his return to baseball he got called up and played in 35 games for the yanks. Piera hit .230 with 1 homer and 8 RBI's in only 74 at-bats. It's sad to see a player with promise go, but this trade does provide the Yankees to get younger and develop a deeper bullpen.
