Week 4 Thursday Game Ball

I take a couple days off and miss one of the most story lined games of the season so far. From the demonstration of unity, to the play of Aaron Rodgers, to one of the most vicious hits I have ever seen.

Danny Trevathan of the Chicago Bears should have been thrown out of the game, suspended for at least 5 games, and fined a game check by the NFL. The hit by Trevathan is the most unnecessary hit I’ve ever seen. If you haven’t seen it by now go on YouTube and watch it. Davante Adams was not going anywhere because he was already wrapped up and headed to the ground. He had no right being almost knocked unconscious, bent backwards, and carted off the field on Thursday. Trevathan should be facing more than a 15-yard penalty after a hit like that. Because, not only is it dangerous and unnecessary, but it puts Adams long term health into jeopardy, and it continues the need for a CTE scanning program for living people. An example should have been made out of Trevathan but it wasn’t so, an example needs to be made of the next player that makes this type of hit while “trying to make a football play.”

Getting to the bright spot of this game, I know how hard it has been over the past couple of weeks to focus on the bright spots of the game with the President’s comments and the terrifying news of CTE in Aaron Hernandez. But, while it wasn’t that good of a Thursday Night game, it was one of the better one’s that we have had. And without further ado, my Week 4 Thursday game ball goes to Green Bay Packer Safety Ha Ha Clinton Dix. Clinton Dix had a great game having a game high 8 tackles with an interception. If the Packers go anywhere in the Post Season this year it will be because of their secondary and Clinton Dix needs to continue to be the anchor that he has been so far in 2017.
