Day 295
Fresh Start_295: “Retired-numbersville”
Every home run Aaron
Judge hits, the legacy of Aaron Judge grows larger and larger. The impossibility
of every home run from Judge gets amazes Yankee fans around the country.
With Judge’s league
leading 22nd homer of the year, would be the winning shot to
right-center in a 5-3 win for the bombers. Every great play whether it is a
diving catch, a gaming winning double, or a 500-foot homer (it might actually
happen)—the case for Judge for MVP becomes more and more conceivable.
Judge is doing exactly
what Trout did to the East Coast back in his rookie year, Aaron Judge is just
putting on a show and having fun doing it. And, with every home run Judge hits,
the media just anticipates a Home Run Derby with Aaron Judge and Marlin right
fielder Giancarlo Stanton in Miami this July.
With every home run Aaron
Judge hits, he amazes the fans and his fellow teammates alike. Looking back at
the 495-foot moonshot that landed in “retired-numbersville” the Yankee players in
the dugout are in as much awe at the blast as the fans in the stands. If you
can boil Aaron Judge down to something, it’s the way that his teammates look
and react to what Aaron Judge does. The mystery behind how any of this happens,
is just as prevalent as incredible, and jaw dropping as all of this is. I am
thankful as a fan that Aaron Judge is playing for the team that I route for,
and I look forward to watch him play throughout his long career.
Texting back and forth with
one of my good friends, we got on the awesome topic that is Aaron Judge. He said
that he dreads the fact that he will have to deal with Aaron Judge for 10+
years. Keep in mind that my friend that I was texting with was a Cleveland
Indian fan. I reminded him that they are the defending American League
Champions, and just signed a 40+ homer guy in Edwin Encarnacion.
So, Aaron Judge is
already in the minds of fans of other teams in the American League without
winning a Rookie of the Year, an MVP award, or finishing a Major Baseball
season. So, if you could boil down the 6’7” 282 pound Aaron Judge down to
anything, he is truly a sports unicorn.
