NY 500 XXII

NY 500 #22
As a New York sports fan it hurts seeing Tom Brady hold up yet another Lombardi Trophy. I’ll give him the respect that he deserves, but it still stings. However, with New York sports this week, it was an okay weekend. The Knicks and Nets showcased how awful basketball is in New York right now. Carmelo is frustrated with all the trade rumors surrounding him, and the Knicks are looking at a playoff opportunity slowly slip away. The Nets are continuing the necessary steps in their rebuild.

The Rangers had a great weekend with 2 good wins. The first one was an overtime win in Buffalo thanks to a big goal by Chris Kreider. The next was a 4-3-win yesterday in the garden. The Rangers continue to be the 5th team in the Eastern Conference with 67 points. The Islanders have 54 points and are clinging onto some remanence of life as the NHL season winds down.

The Jets and Giants get to watch one of the best Super Bowls ever, if not the best ever. The NFL season is now officially over for everyone and the offseason starts. The Jets and Giants can focus on free agency and the draft. Get your big board’s ready and hope.

Baseball is so close with the Yankees and Mets inching to start playing baseball again. Spring Training starts in less than a week, so baseball fans get ready. It was just a weekend for football, focusing on Atlanta and New England—let the work week rest looking back at a great Super Bowl.
