Honest Review #13- The Good, the Bad, the Petty
That wasn’t pretty at by any means, but a win is a win. As us Jet fans know, I win counts just the same it doesn’t matter if you win by 1 or 50. Bryce Petty in his second career start gets his first career win and a walk-off win at that. The day didn’t start off well with the first pass from Petty being intercepted as Matt Fortè went to the locker room with a knee injury and didn’t return.

Todd Bowels’ job is safe for this season, and the Jets backup that trust in Bowels with the best second half performance of the season. This was a total team win. The offensive line is banged up and the team as a whole got desimated by the injury bug, but the entire team willed and outplayed to get this win. It was never racking to listen to on the drive back up to college, but it is a nice end to a great Sunday.

Bilal Powell stepped up in a big way rushing for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. Powell also ran in the game winning touchdown after a holding penalty back the Jets up. The defense stepped up huge, not allowing San Francisco to reach the end zone for the final 3 quarters. As a matter a fact, the 9’ers didn’t reach the end zone after the first two drives of the game. Robby Anderson and Austin Seferian Jenkins were big parts of this win having 99 and 35 yards respectively. Petty in his first career win, didn’t throw a touchdown but had 257 and that interception. Petty got better as the game went on, and I will take this game with a grain of salt because this is against a team that is now 1-11. We will what Petty can do at home against the Dolphins on Saturday night at 8:30 PM EST. The Dolphins just lost Ryan Tannehill for the season with an ACL injury. Matt Moore will start for Miami, and that is good news for the Jets defense.

The defense bended but didn’t break, pitching a shout out in the second half, while not allowing the 9’ers in the end zone the majority of the game. The old guy David Harris lead the team with 8 total tackles, with Marcus Williams, Jordan Jenkins, and Leonard Williams all chipped in with sacks. Darrelle Revis played well against the ‘9ers so hopefully his season can turn around turning into a productive 2017 season. But, it’s on to Miami at home and as always LET’S GO J-E-TS JETS JETS JETS!
