2016 Week 4 Monday game ball

Week 4 Monday Game ball
As I have discussed already Odell Beckham Jr. had a meltdown on the field on Monday night in Minnesota. I predicted that Beckham would have one of those games that he would just not be able to be guarded. Like the example I gave in Tuesday’s Fresh Start—with the game in Miami where Beckham played his former teammate and roommate Jarvis Landry. Getting right into it, I have to give my game ball to Minnesota Vikings defensive back Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes had two tackles, and an interception, while also getting into the head of Odell Beckham and completely changing the rest of the game. Rhodes has laid out a blueprint on stopping Odell Beckham Jr. in a game, and it doesn’t take that much. OBJ starts to act like the kid that was bullied in school and is finally speaking up for himself. Beckham has spoken out and said that “I am a targeted player.” And I would agree with that, and it needs to change, and how it would change is Beckham changing his behavior and having a thicker skin. I applaud Xavier Rhodes for boiling OBJ’s blood and getting him out of his game, that’s half the battle. I am one for a trash talker, I think it is a necessity in beating an opponent. The mind is a powerful thing, and in sports it is half the battle if not more. The ability for Beckham is there as I said on Tuesday and congratulations to my game ball winner for week 4 for changing the league—at least for the short term.
