Day 151
Fresh Start_151: Number 45, now serving
President Donald Trump is
getting sworn into office today at Noon EST, and it will have the country at each
other’s throats for the 1st time since Election Day. As I’ve said multiple
times; I will not tell you how to feel about this election. If your guy won, be
happy and hopeful on what he has promised to do. If your girl didn’t win, don’t
be that scared because we are still a democracy. If you want to protest, well
that is your right and nobody can tell you not too. There have been protestors
at every presidential election in my recent memory.
And another thing is, don’t
lose great friendships over this election. Every has the right to their opinion
and their political party. Let the differences be that, and just go on with
your friendship. No president can take that friendship away. I personally am
optimistic that President Trump will be a decent president. I hope that he will
better president than his republican predecessor. I have hope that he will make
this country people look at in 4 years and be proud of. I’m also tired of
people on either side pulling to the extremes in conversations. As on Noon EST
Donald Trump will be the president and we need to continue to be the incredible
Americans that we have been for the past 8 years and all the years before that.
One last note, there is a
date that you need to keep in mind. That date is Tuesday November 6th
2018, or the Midterm Election. That is a day were we can decide who has control
in the House, 25 seats in the senate, and when the Supreme Court Judges get
voted on. The Midterm election is where you decide if you want to continue to
ride the “Trump Train” or slam the door on and give the power to the Democratic
party. If you are an Independent, which way do you swing then, verses which way
you swung on Election day. Anyway, as President Barack Obama goes to bed
tonight, it will be his last as the President of the United States. So, to you
President Obama thank you for a good 8 years in office, thank you for the
milestones that you have set while you were in office, and thank you for being
better than the President who came before you. Whichever side of the isle you
are on, have a good election day, and also hope and pray that the President
Elect will do a great job in office.
