Honest Recap #1

Honest Recap: Dèjà vu all over again
Well, Jets fans we have all seen this before and it doesn’t hurt any less. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception late in a last minute drive to ice the game for the opposing team, this time it just happens to be the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a well fault game all throughout; Forte play exceptionally well with one hundred and fifty-five all-purpose yards including some nice break off runs. The passing game wasn’t really there, as it seemed just a step out of sync. Brandon Marshall had only three catches for thirty-two yards and a key drop on the last drive. Decker only had two catches, but a touchdown and thirty-seven yards. Quincy Enuwa showed that he took serious time in the offseason to better himself and make himself a main target for Fitzpatrick. Enuwa had seven catches (leading the team in catches) and fifty-four yards, with the first touchdown of the year for the Jets. The special teams had a sole bright stop in undrafted free agent Jalin Marshall who averaged thirty-six yards per kick return including a key sixty-five yard return, setting up the a league changing field goal.
Speaking of field goals, Nick Folk had an extremely rough day kicking the ball, missing a point after, and having a field goal blocked. Those four points left off the board was a key role for why the Jets lost and will be blamed for causing the Jets to lose. Whether that is fair or not is up to you, but the Jets should have a list of possible replacement.
This is a new series of columns that I am starting and will be doing for the entire Jets season, and periodically throughout the Nets, Rangers, and Yankees respective seasons.
