This just in... a little late

Sam Bradford
First off, I apologize for being so late on this news of Sam Bradford being traded to the Minnesota Vikings for a first and fourth round pick in this year’s upcoming draft. For Minnesota this was a necessary move on their part. However other options were out there like Mark Sanchez or Aaron Murphy that wouldn’t have costed them anything, the Vikings went with the player they felt most comfortable with. Bradford is a seasoned quarterback and has ran an offense in now two different cities. Not to mention the arm talent that Bradford and the offense that was a part of a playoff team last season. Keep in mind this isn’t the ultimate solution with Teddy Bridgewater down for the next season and counting; Bradford is a serviceable backup for the Vikings and can hopefully hold down the fort and coast the storm by making the playoffs in the tough NFC North.
For Philadelphia on the other hand they handle the ongoing quarterback revolving door that has been Daniel/Bradford/Weintz and got a very nice return. Now let’s not blow this out of proportion, the bid for Bradford had to be high to get him right away and not wait for an answer. Minnesota obviously has playoff intentions and getting Bradford keeps those hopes alive for the moment. The Eagles just answer a desperation call and get retail price for a player Philadelphia has been desperate to get rid of. We all know the relationship between Sam Bradford and the Philadelphia Eagles, and well this is a divorce is a happy ending for both parties. Philadelphia can fix the train wreck of a mistake in trading up and drafting Weintz this past April and can continue their desperate rebuild effort. And like I’ve already said Minnesota keeps playoff hopes alive and well.
