R.I.P. Arnold Palmer

Farewell Mr. Palmer
Just as the day is coming to an end yesterday the already shocked sports received some more sad news. Arnold Palmer the King of Golf died at the age of 87. The iconic golfer, entrepreneur, and person that Palmer was won’t die with him. His records in the game of golf will always be there. His marks on life and his logo of the umbrella will always be iconic as long as the Golf Channel and Arizona Ice Tea are in circulation.
I have personally have never saw Palmer hit one golf ball live in my life, but playing the golf growing up I have heard of the All-time Great, the King of Golf Arnold Palmer. No matter what golf course you go to the presence of Palmer is there, even if the course is a small par three, nine-hole course in upstate New York. The half lemonade, half ice tea is the only drink to have on the golf course. The overall brand of Palmer from golfers and people around the country is something that is bigger than Palmer might have sent out to accomplish. From stories around the sports world, Palmer was one of the best professional athletes to be around, on camera or off. I know how important of a role model he was to people around me, and honestly watching golf growing up I took advantage of what he truly meant to the game of golf. My favorite golfers happen to be older players in Phil Mickelson and Bubba Watson who most likely idolized Arnold Palmer. So to Mr. Palmer thank you for changing the game of golf for almost sixty years and forever ultimately. You are truly the King of Golf and your impact and who you were as a person will never die. Rest in Paradise and have one more half and half and a round of golf on me.

Dan Hurley Saved College Basketball

Last Year the Season was one game long, it's different this year

  It took 363 days, but Jets fans finally got the debut from Aaron Rodgers they waited for. This time around that debut ended in a blowout loss on the road to the San Francisco 49’ers. Last year the Jets won the battle but lost the war following their overtime walk-off win against the Buffalo Bills. This year, the Jets hope they lost the battle but because they have Rodgers they will win the war.   Of all the ways the game could have gone last night, having the Jets defense get thoroughly dominated on the ground by a third year running back, Jordan Mason, who wasn’t a household name until last night, wasn’t on the bingo card.
