Honest Recap #3

Honest Recap #3: 60 Minutes of crap
The last sixty minutes of football was the worst display of football I have ever witnessed and I watched the butt fumble game. Ryan Fitzpatrick played like a middle school quarterback, throwing six interceptions to the Kansas City defense. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker didn’t get off the bus with three catches combined for fifty-eight yards. The Jets offense really never got going and just sat on the sidelines for most of the game. The defense DID NOT lose this game for the Jets. This game is on Fitzpatrick whether you like it or not and nobody is going to argue you with that. I won’t be surprised if some Jets fans want Ryan Fitzpatrick’s head on a spike Game of Thrones style, because I wouldn’t argue with that. Geno Smith should have clocked in after about the fourth interception. Now, Jets fans know the miseries of watching Geno Smith play at quarterback. The Jets showed fight on defense as they always do and this defense should get a badge of courage for the performance that they showed in Kansas City. The defense allowed ten points the entire game. Majority of the time if you hold a NFL team to ten points you win the football game. This is the same offense that torched the Buffalo Bills defense in Primetime on Thursday Night Football. That same Buffalo defense held Arizona to eighteen points. Matt Fortè acted like he never left New York for the road trip with fifteen rushes for sixty-five. Chan Gailey has to find a new game plan for this offense and involve the best wide receiver core from last year. Not only that but do it against the Legion of Boom and the Seattle Seahawks. Ryan Fitzpatrick has to hibernate on the plane ride to New York and have his best week of practice and face a stampede of vicious reporters waiting at his locker every minute of every day for the next week.
This was a game the Jets had to win due to the difficulty of the next two weeks, with Seattle and Pittsburgh. Houston ran laps around this team and every Jet fan thought that the Jets would do the same. I have to give credit to Andy Reid and the defense for confusing Fitzpatrick and the Jets offense for the entire game. Also don’t think that I am just chewing out Fitzpatrick and the offense for no reason, because the defense gave the offense more than enough opportunities to get back into the game in the second half. Just like this defense has been doing for the past couple of years. After this loss it might be time to have hesitate expectations for the rest of the season, due to the difficulty of the teams coming. I can only hope that the Jets don’t roll over after this gut punch, but look in the mirror, recognize the situation and punch back. I will leave at that… As always Jetup and Let’s go Jets
