NY 500 IV

NY 500 #4
Man do I love this time of year! The Yankees and Mets are still in the playoff race, the Jets and Giants had interesting Sundays respectively. The Yankees after taking two out of three against the Tampa Bay Rays, are still two games back of the second wild card spot are playing very well, and their offense is on fire thanks to Gary Sanchez and Mark Teixeira this time around. The pitching has been surprisingly good for the supporting cast. Tanaka has shown again that he is one of the best pitchers in the game getting his thirteen win of the year after starting the season only getting one decision in his first ten starts. The New York Mets if the season ended today would make the playoffs by only a half game over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Mets come off a blow-out rubber game win, winning 10-3, getting Seth Lugo his fourth win. What both the Yankees and Mets are doing right now is just mind blowing due to the players that are on both rosters. It will be an extremely entertaining last couple of weeks of the MLB season.
For the New York NFL teams, polar opposite Sunday’s and emotions coming out of week one. First off, for the Giants, it was a tight, lucky, and well played win for the G-Men in Dallas, Texas. Welcome back to Victor Cruz, who salsa’d his way back into the league catching four balls for thirty-four yards and of course the score. The Giant defense, who cost them so many times last year, came up clutch, thanks to a blunder by Cowboys receiver Terrance Williams—who cut up field instead of running out of bounds on the last play of the game. So, for my many of my good friends that are huge Giant fans, rejoice for now, the defense and the money shoved that way, paid off tenfold against Dak Prescott. Up next is bonafided first ballet Hall of Famer Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. For the New York Jets (whom I briefly recapped yesterday after the game) here we go again Jets fans. The AFC East apart from the Patriots all lost yesterday, which is a nice silver lining for the devastated hearts of all Jets fans. For a game that the Jets had to have against the Bengals due the fact that Tom Brady is not playing for the first four games. So for Jets, this is a most have game on Thursday Night in Buffalo if the Jets still want to compete in AFC East division.
